Well Dear Friends here we are again ready to embark on yet another year. Our hopes and aspirations for the coming year I'm sure are high. I only hope that this year lives up to the potential that we all hope for.
The first critical trial will be the acceptance or challenge of the electors vote in congress on the 6th of January.
There will be many others throughout the year. Let us all be vigilant in our own backyards and call to task those who would not act responsibly for the good of the community.
So here we go leaping empty handed into the void once again. Come join hands and link our arms as we "stay the course" of maintaining what remains of our democratic system. Let us not be overwhelmed by the supposed "mandate" that this administration has. Let us make them spend their "political capital" on fighting back the "insurgents of democracy" that are alive and well and living in both red and blue states within the confines of what Native Americans call Turtle Island.
We can be triumphant over the long run if we pace ourselves and not be discouraged by the minor losses that occur along the way. Let us show them that the human spirit cannot be trapped, curtailed or ignored. Let us show them that the American Spirit of truth and justice will prevail and they cannot prevent it from coming to the fore.
So, I ask that you look forward to this year, 2005, with HOPE, not trepidation and keep on keeping on.....................PEACE....................Scott
